RUGBY TEACHER COACHING COURSES
Each year the rfu provides coaching opportunities for members of staff and students of schools in membership of the England Rugby Schools, England RUGBY Colleges or England RUGBY Students.
Expression of Interest - Summer Training Window (May/June 2025)
As this is an expression of interest, we are unable to guarantee a course, but we will plan the programme in order that we have an even geographical spread.
The summer training window will run from 1 May and 30 June. During the window we will have the suport of the RFU Coach Developer Team, and all courses will be FREE of charge.
Over the last two years we have upskilled over 2000 teachers/staff/students through teh Introduction to Contact Course.
We will be offering two options:
England Rugby Secondary Schools Course - 6 hrs (mixed theory and practical)
England Rugby Secondary Schools Course - 6 hrs (mixed theory and practical) WOMEN ONLY

The England Rugby Secondary Schools Course, includes Core skills catch, pass, evasion - supporting the non-contact game (T1 Rugby). As well as safe introduction to contact, tackle, scrum and the role of the ball carrier.

ENGLAND RUGBY SECONDARY SCHOOLS COURSE
This non-assessed course is aimed at teachers new to delivering contact rugby, or those looking for a refresher. It will help you understand how to safely and effectively coach and referee non-contact to contact including the scrum and tackle and how to utilise a fun, game zone/skill zone-based approach with activities suitable for all your students.
