T1 RUGBY SERIES
T1 RUGBY SERIES
SAME EVENT, DIFFERENT NAME:
Since 2023 we’ve reached almost 500 schools/colleges and over 6000 players and young leaders – many of whom are new to rugby for the first time.
From 2024, Touch to Twickenham becomes the T1 Rugby Series– same fun, inclusive and player-centred events, just a different name and an evolved non-contact format. Event philosophy
Inclusivity: T1 Rugby Series is mixed gender and anyone can play. Every team is guaranteed equal playing time at a level to suit.
Enjoyment: We want students (and teachers) to enjoy these events, regardless of their motivations.
Participation: Since 2023 these events helped drive participation in students new to rugby, girls and young leaders. We want The T1 Rugby Series to continue to drive participation and physical activity.

Our Aim:
We want to stage a series of rugby events with a real difference to grow rugby.
These events will be focused on the player, whatever their motivation. We will ensure they are at heart of our decision making, whether they are playing for fun or wanting to challenge themselves.

Year 12/13:
Running from February to April and open to schools and colleges. Whilst Year 13 players are welcomed, due to exams it’s our expectation that most players will be year 12.
How to get involved:
Sign up to one of our 8 x regional events
On the days these events will be tiered to ensure institutions of similar standard are grouped together and have opportunity to progress.
We want to support new schools and colleges to rugby. So for those totally new to rugby, we have a number of “byes” direct to the final stage.
Year 9:
At year 9 there are 3 ways to get involved:
If you are brand new to rugby (or not played in the last 5 years) – we are running a series of local events through our School Rugby Managers
For schools who’ve taken part previously and who play rugby – we have 8 open regional events in April & May (which will be tiered on the day)
If you are at an established rugby playing school, regularly playing T1 Rugby, and entering results on SOCS, the top teams will be invited to the finals day.
